Introduction

PhD program (Distance and Non-Formal Education) aims to provide persons with high level of skills in planning, developing and implementation of distance education, non-formal education, adult education, literacy and continuing education program at national, provincial and local level. Moreover, it enables the graduates to conduct basic and applied research in the context of Pakistan.

  • MA Education/ MEd/BEd (4 year) Second Division

          (OR)

  • MPhil Education( First Div /3 GPA)

Selection Process

Selection of the candidates will be made strictly on the basis of merit/criteria laid down by the Department/ University.

Teaching Methodology

PhD Education with DNFE specialization is face to face program. It employs multiple methodologies using AIOU LMS. The students are required to use both face to face and online format for workshops, assignment, classes, mid-term and final exams as and when required/ as per schedule of the department / university. A student must secure pass marks in formative assessment (consists of assignments, presentation, mid-term) as well as in final exams to successfully complete a course. Attendance in workshops is compulsory. .
