Introduction
The field of accounting has undergone significant changes in the last two decades with the development of new standards and revision of existing financial reporting frameworks. The IFRSs are adopted by companies around the globe to make their financial statement comparable across various jurisdictions. The objective of this PGD in IFRS is to enable students to understand the requirements of International Accounting Standards/International Financial Reporting Standards for the preparation of financial statements and improve the quality of financial reporting in corporate sector.
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum 14 years of education in commerce/business or management sciences (B.Com/Associate Degree/BBA or equivalent). Persons with higher education in commerce and business subjects such as BS Accounting & Finance, B.Com Hons. , BBA Hons.,BS Business Studies, M.Sc Accounting & Finance, MPA, M.Com, M.Sc Public Administration, CMA, ACCA, PIPFA,CA, MBA, MS Commerce, MS Management Sciences, etc. is also eligible for admissions.
Duration
Teaching Methodology
ODL Mode of education will be adopted. Study material will be provided in the form of e-books and the workshop classes will be conducted in online mode through LMS.
Assessment
Continuous assessment through course assignments and online quizzes and a final paper will be conducted for each subject in an approved examination center.
