Region History

RC Muzaffarabad is situated at junction of river Neelum and Jhelum in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu & Kashmir. RC was established in 1985. Initially, it was providing services to six districts including Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Haveli, Poonch, Neelum and Hattian Bala. In 2019, with the establishment of RC Rawalakot, the boundaries of Muzaffarabad Region changed Rc was established in 1985 and shifted into the state of art building in 2010. The covered area of the campus is 6117 sq. kilometers which includes Offices, Library, Computer Lab, Video Conference Hall and Accessibility Centre for disabled students. As per enrollment for semester spring 2022 is 10468, 1559 tutors are associated with RC and 09 examinations centers are established under RC Muzaffarabad and 6 PTRCs are associated with RC.

About

The Allama Iqbal Open University was established in May, 1974, with the main objectives of providing educational opportunities to masses and to those who cannot leave their homes and jobs. During all these past years, the University has more than fulfilled this promise.
