Region History

Regional Campus Islamabad was established on 01-06-1984. Currently RC Islamabad is situated in the Block no 27 main Campus AIOU. Islamabad is divided in two sections i.e., Rural and Urban whereas, no tehsil is attached with Islamabad. As per enrollment for semester Spring 2022 15,914 and 743 tutors are associated with regional campus, 15 examination centers have been established under Regional Campus Islamabad. Facilitation desk has been established to facilitate the students who visit Regional Campus of the solution of their queries regarding admission and examination etc.

About

The Allama Iqbal Open University was established in May, 1974, with the main objectives of providing educational opportunities to masses and to those who cannot leave their homes and jobs. During all these past years, the University has more than fulfilled this promise.
