
Education
Dr Khan holds a Ph.D. in English Linguistics with specialization in sociocognitive linguistics. He has Master degrees in TEFL and Linguistics & Literature. He has been a teacher trainer at AIOU where he taught at Diploma & MA TEFL and worked as TEFL Programme Coordinator. He has also taught at English Language Centre, Taif University, KSA for 8 years. During this period, he also worked as Chair for the sub-committee for faculty during accreditation of the Centre with the USA-based Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA), head of Special Interest Group (SIG) named "Research Support", co-superviser Quality Assurance Division, member of Research & Curriculum Wing, English Club, Assessment Committee and other committees. Apart from being Cambridge certified Master Trainer and IDP Australia certified IELTS trainer, Dr. Khan has completed several advanced Cambridge courses about different aspects of English Language Teaching. Currently he is teaching Language Learning Theories, Applied Linguistics and other courses at M. Phil. and Ph.D. levels and supervising research at AIOU. He has published several research papers in national and international research journals.
