BS Early Childhood Care & Education

Introduction

BS in Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) program is designed not only for the teachers of ECCE but for all those professionals and caregivers who are engaged in the children's social, emotional, cognitive, and overall personality development. This program is closely linked with the National Curriculum of ECCE and international standards required for ECCE teachers and professionals.  BS ECCE is a wide-ranging training program comprised of 8 semesters that contains the understanding and training of ECCE professionals in different aspects such as child rights, child security and safety, social & emotional development, family, and community engagement, and cognitive development, as well as theories underlying these aspects. This program focuses on practical learning in ECCE for professionals, therefore the components of an internship and a research project are also included in the program. As the new undergraduate policy of HEC emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship in early childhood education, the program also caters to the needs and requirements as laid down in the policy. This program is not only beneficial for prospective teachers or ECCE professionals but also equally important for mothers and fathers to get awareness about child development and education. This will help them to groom and nourish their children.

OBJECTIVES

  1. Develop skills to support children’s overall growth and development.
